The Baldwin family is turning to pickleball to fund breast cancer research.

The Baldwin Pink Paddle Challenge will be held on May 16 and 17 at The Picklr in Centereach.

The event will be hosted by the Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund, a nonprofit founded by Carol Baldwin.

The mom of six survived breast cancer and spent years advocating for research and support.

Her son, actor Billy Baldwin, says his mother’s work after her diagnosis was the most meaningful chapter of her life, a time when she accomplished her most important work.

He and his siblings now carry on Carol's legacy.

"The research is not only raising awareness, it’s also improving life, improving quality of life, lengthening lives and truly saving lives," Billy said.
