An NYPD officer and his horse helped catch a grand larceny suspect Wednesday in Manhattan.
Authorities say a witness informed the officer that someone stole an individual’s purse around 11 a.m. near West 72 Street and Columbus Avenue.
The officer and his horse named Kelly followed the suspect as they fled the scene on foot.
Police say 44-year-old Felicia Field was ultimately arrested, and the purse was recovered.
New York state databases show Felicia has been convicted of previous crimes, including second-degree murder.
It may look like a scene from another era, but New Yorkers, like Jewel Torres, had a very modern reaction.
“First of all, I love that. We need more of this energy. This is New York City baby," said Torres.
